What sections will be included in the LSAT test?
There are basically 5 sections which will be included in the LSAT test. One section will be based on a comprehension which the candidates will have to read and then answer questions related to it. The second section will be based on questions which will assess the analytical reasoning of the candidates. This is generally referred to as the analytical section. Most of the questions which you will be facing in the exam will be logical reasoning questions. These questions assess the ability of the candidate to logically evaluate the questions and critically analyze them as they occur in the exam. Each of the questions comes with a small passage which puts forward a particular scenario. The candidate needs to analyze that passage in detail and apply logical reasoning in order to answer it. The candidate needs to apply a number of skills in order to solve these types of questions. These skills include reasoning by analogy, reaching well-supported conclusions and applying rules, principles or arguments.
These types of questions are mainly termed as difficult due to their confusing nature. While some of these questions might be straightforward, most of them will be tricking and difficult. One needs to apply all his skills and knowledge to solve these questions based on the given scenario.
These questions will come with a set of statements or rules. You will be supposed to draw logical conclusions based on the statements. You will have to make use of a set of rules and statements and identify the relationship between them to come to a conclusion. These questions are a reflection of the analytical scenarios which the candidates will face later as law students. Just like the candidates are supposed to solve a number of legal scenarios in law schools using analytical reasoning, they are supposed to do the same in these questions.
