Certification Overview

PgMP certification is an advanced well suited for professionals managing, coordinating multiple and related projects. The certification is maintained and issued by the Project Management Institute and is the next step after certification as a Project Management Professional. The certification identifies the responsibilities associated with the profile of a Program Manager and Project Director. Candidates with this certification are globally in high demand. They are considered to have the necessary knowledge and skills for delivering business objectives and maximizing the results by grouping projects rather than approaching them in a standalone environment.

Exam Information

As in the case of other certifications, the first step is to procure the application form, duly fill it and submit it within the given time frame. A candidate can opt for submitting the form online or in paper format.

Candidates are required to answer a total of 170 questions, out of which 150 are to be marked while 20 are pretest questions. The pretest questions have no impact on the total scores of a candidate. Every candidate is required to attend a 15 minute tutorial and a survey before proceeding with the exam. The examination questions have to be answered in a total of 240 minutes (4 hours)

Prerequisites

To be eligible for sitting for the certification exam a candidate, the prerequisites can be discussed under two levels:

Level 1

• A high school diploma, associate degree and
• More than 6000 hours (4 years) of professional project management work experience and
• 10,500 hours (7 years) of program management experience.

Level 2

• Bachelor's degree or global equivalent and
• 6000 hours of professional experience in the field of project management

• Ability to plan the program;
• Ability toexecute the program;
• Ability to control the program and
